Yash’s ‘Toxic’ Delayed Over VFX Issues?

The much-awaited film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Kannada superstar Yash, has once again become a topic of discussion in trade circles after reports surfaced about a possible delay in its release.
Earlier, the makers had officially stated that geopolitical tensions in the Middle East were the reason behind postponing the film’s release. However, recent reports suggest that the actual cause might be related to technical issues in post-production.
According to industry buzz, during a private screening, the team noticed that the visual effects in some important sequences did not meet the expected standards. Additionally, certain portions reportedly had audio quality issues, prompting the makers to spend more time refining the film before its theatrical release.
The movie was initially scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026, but it has now been postponed by a couple of months to allow the team to improve its technical aspects. Trade analysts note that such delays are quite common for big-budget films that rely heavily on advanced VFX.
At the same time, the postponement has sparked another debate in industry circles. Some observers believe the delay might also help the film avoid direct comparisons with Dhurandhar 2, which is currently generating significant buzz following its trailer release and strong advance bookings.
Whether the delay is purely due to technical corrections or partly a strategic move to avoid competition, it appears that the makers are determined to ensure the film releases with the best possible quality and impact.
