A tragic incident happened in Hyderabad today, on the eve of National Children’s Day. A 3-year-old kid drowned and died after he fell in a sump located in the premises of the school that he studies in.
The incident happened at Bachpan Playschool located at Malkajgiri in Hyderabad, while the children’s day activities were taking place. The sump was located inside the school compound, and the lid was reportedly open when the 3-year-old, unaware of the danger, directly walked into the sump. By the time he was brought out, and shifted to nearby hospital, the kid died.
The child’s parents were aghast at knowing the tragic death he was met with. Locals have demanded a stern action against the school management for their alleged negligence in taking necessary precautions to safeguard the children studying at the school.
