Chirala MLA Amanchi Krishna Mohan is a very strong candidate in the constituency. No matter what, it is very difficult to defeat him in Chirala – this is the public mood, perception in the constituency. Amanchi had won as an independent MLA in 2014 against Naidu-Modi wave on one side and YS Jagan’s popularity on other hand.
However, after TDP stormed into power, Amanchi had joined TDP. Amidst this backdrop, YSRCP has been wooing Amanchi. While it has its plan-B i.e to field M Kondaiah, on the other hand it has been holding talks with Amanchi to join YCP.
It is now learnt that Amanchi has made up his mind to join YSRCP. He is said to have got good offer from Jagan and he is now planning to cross over. As per media reports, Amanchi has held a meeting with his followers in Pandillapalli and said to have taken a decision to join Jagan’s party. As per reports, Amanchi will be meeting YS Jagan tomorrow and likely to announce his new course of action. This is indeed a shock to TDP in Chirala. Now, Naidu has to either stop Amanchi or has to find an alternative to take on him.
