Seven distinguished personalities from the Telugu states were honoured with the prestigious Padma Shri on Sunday. Among the awardees were renowned surgeon Dr. GV Rao and eminent scientist Kumarasamy Thangaraj from Telangana, while Andhra Pradesh had four recipients, including veteran actors Murali Mohan and Rajendra Prasad.
Adding a personal and emotional touch to the celebrations, Megastar Chiranjeevi visited the residences of Murali Mohan and Rajendra Prasad on Republic Day to personally congratulate them. The gesture stood out as a symbol of deep respect, camaraderie, and genuine admiration.
Chiranjeevi, who himself has been honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 2006 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2024 for his immense contributions to cinema and society, felicitated both actors with traditional shawls. Their interactions were filled with warmth, nostalgia, and mutual respect, reflecting their decades-long bond in Telugu cinema.
The Megastar also extended his heartfelt wishes to all the Padma award recipients. By personally acknowledging and honouring his peers, Chiranjeevi once again demonstrated his golden heart. He continues to remain a guiding force in the industry, consistently promoting unity, gratitude, and goodwill beyond the silver screen.
