Mahesh Gears Up for Challenging Georgia Shoot for Varanasi

Superstar Mahesh is gearing up to face one of the toughest challenges of his career with the upcoming film Varanasi. The team is set to kick off the Georgia schedule by the end of this month, featuring Mahesh along with other key cast members. This schedule promises intense action sequences and physically demanding shoots in challenging locations.
This marks Mahesh’s first trip to Georgia specifically for a film shoot, as he has previously visited the country only for vacations. The new experience is both exciting and challenging, given the demanding locations, strict safety measures, and the need for local support throughout the shoot.
Key shooting locations include the Caucasus Mountains, known for their snow-capped peaks and breathtaking scenery, ideal for action and emotional sequences featuring Mahesh. The black sand beaches of Georgia will also serve as picturesque backdrops for select scenes.
Other significant locations include Uplistsikhe, the 3,000-year-old rock-cut ancient city, and Mtskheta, Georgia’s former capital, featuring churches, forts, and medieval architectural marvels. Small sets are also being constructed as needed to complement these outdoor locations.
While director Rajamouli has previously shot some scenes in Georgia for Baahubali, Varanasi will explore several new and unique locations. So far, around 50% of the film’s shoot has been completed. The team has already wrapped major sequences on the Varanasi set, completed indoor shoots at the aluminum factory and Kokapet, and filmed action scenes in Odisha’s Koraput district. Additionally, key sequences have been shot in Kenya’s Amboseli National Park.
Fans are eagerly anticipating this schedule, as it showcases Mahesh’s physical prowess and dedication to performing high-octane action, promising an exciting cinematic experience once the film releases.
