Megastar Chiranjeevi is a staple of the Telugu film industry, having been a part of the industry for over 4 decades, and having delivered many successful films in his career. He took a long hiatus, when he decided to focus on politics and serve the people, which left a lot of fans feeling sad.
When the actor announced his return, though, it made everyone happy. Talking about his comeback in a recent interview with Anupama Chopra of Film Companion, Chiru said that he was very scared of his comeback because he wasn’t sure if the people would accept him with the same kind of love and affection after he took such a long gap from films, but said that he is very fortunate and lucky to have gotten all the love from the people, after so much.
Then the actor spoke about why he said he doesn’t want to be a part of director SS Rajamouli’s movies. Chiru said that he knows how much perfection Rajamouli always wants, which is why he doesn’t think he can satisfy Rajamouli when it comes to acting. He also said that he cannot give too many years for a single film at this point in his career – as Rajamouli takes two to three years to make a movie. Chiru said that these are the reasons why he is weary about being a part of Rajamouli’s movies, but otherwise, has absolute respect for the director.
Chiru is currently promoting his upcoming film Godfather, which is all set to be released on October 5th, on Dasara. The film is directed by Mohan Raja, and features an ensemble cast that includes Nayantara, Satya Dev, Salman Khan, Murali Sharma and many others.
