Chief Justice of India, Justice N V Ramana, said that he would write a book on late N T Rama Rao.
He said he would write the book after his retirement as the Chief Justice of India, which is due in August this year.
Justice Ramana attended the birth centenary celebrations of NTR organised at the SV University in Tirupati on Thursday.
He said the three letters, NTR, would give strength to the people and asserted that the late leader had given new lease of life to the Telugu people.
He said he had worked with NTR in the TDP from 1989. He was branded as NTR man, he said and maintained that he felt honoured to be called so.
Justice Ramana said that NTR had come to politics to serve people and he served as promised.
NTR also changed the face of politics in Andhra Pradesh particularly and in the country in general.
“NTR, unlike many politicians, lived for people and not for him,” Justice Ramana said.
Justice Ramana looked emotional while speaking about NTR and the TDP founded by him.
When he recalled his association with NTR and the TDP four decades ago, Justice Ramana felt proud and elated.
Several people have written books on NTR so far. But the book that Justice Ramana would be writing is all set to be interesting as it reveals the political interests of Justice Ramana before he became a judge.
