Rakasa Teaser Blends Rural Horror with Comic Twist

The teaser of Rakasa, starring Sangeeth Shobhan and Nayan Sarika, has been unveiled, offering an intriguing glimpse into a film that blends rural mystery with humor.
The teaser opens on a haunting note, hinting at a troubled village and a long-buried sin, instantly establishing an eerie and suspenseful atmosphere. The visuals suggest a supernatural layer rooted in local folklore, setting up what initially appears to be a chilling horror narrative.
However, the tone takes a surprising turn when Sangeeth Shobhan enters in a lighter vein, reciting the opening lines of the Anjaneya Dandakam. His presence injects a comic undertone into the otherwise dark setting, signaling that the film leans into the horror-comedy space rather than pure fright.
The teaser concludes with him delivering the iconic line, “O stree repu raa,” evoking nostalgia associated with a popular rural legend from the 1980s. This clever tonal contrast highlights the film’s horror-comedy genre and has sparked considerable curiosity among viewers.
Produced by Niharika Konidela under the Pink Elephant Pictures banner and written and directed by Manasa Sharma, Rakasa is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 3. Meanwhile, Zee Studios has secured the digital streaming rights.
