CM KCR to meet battered girl Pratyusha

The upcoming Telugu film Champion, starring Roshan Meka in the lead and directed by Pradeep Advaitham, is gearing up for its theatrical release on the 25th of this month. The film’s trailer was launched in a grand event on Thursday night, generating strong buzz and excitement among movie lovers.

Presented by Zee Studios and jointly produced by Swapna Cinema, Aanandi Art Creations, and Concept Films, Champion features Anaswara Rajan as the female lead. Set in 1938, the story is deeply rooted in the history of Byranpalli village and revolves around the sport of football. The trailer clearly indicates that Champion is crafted as a classic sports drama, blending action, emotion, patriotism, and rich visuals. Many viewers have already begun comparing it to a small-scale Telugu adaptation of Lagaan.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan attended the trailer launch as the chief guest and showered praise on the team. He remarked, “When I saw Roshan in the poster, he looked like a European action hero. I sincerely hope Champion becomes a massive success for Roshan, just like Magadheera was for me.”

Speaking emotionally at the event, Roshan Meka shared a heartfelt moment about his father. “When I asked my father to attend this event, he initially said no and told me that I should build my own individual identity. But for me, my father’s identity is my identity,” he said. Roshan also added, “It has been many years since I did a film like this. Champion narrates the story of our Telugu history and the brave people of Byranpalli. I will always be grateful to director Pradeep for giving me the role of Michael Williams.”
