For his portrayal of Thandel Raju, a fisherman from Srikakulam, Naga Chaitanya immersed himself in the local culture. He spent over a week interacting with fishermen, learning their ways, and adapting to their lifestyle. As a gesture of gratitude, he promised to cook fish for the locals in their authentic style.

True to his word, the makers of Thandel released a video of Naga Chaitanya preparing the dish on a wooden stove using an earthen pot, following the fishermen’s traditional methods. He served the dish with ease and humility, impressing the locals with both his culinary skills and his dedication to the role. The fishermen, appreciative of his hard work, wished him and the film great success at the box office.

Directed by Chandoo Mondeti and featuring music by Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad, Thandel is produced by Bunny Vasu on a grand scale and presented by Allu Aravind. The film is slated for a worldwide release on February 7th.
