In a recent interview, Superstar Mahesh Babu was asked who all from the industry congratulated him on the success of his latest release, Srimanthudu. “Nobody, Except Charan,” pat came the reply from Mahesh. While the Superstar’s revelation did surprise everyone, it even surprised Mahesh himself, who continued saying, “Was a little surprised, but it’s not a big deal.”
While it is extremely generous and appreciative of Ram Charan, one of the leading stars of Tollywood, to wish his senior colleague, one can’t help but wonder what’s wrong with the rest of the stars in Tollywood. While all our star actors, directors, heroines and even producers and technicians could be busy with their respective films, all it would hardly take is a minute or two to make a phone call or tweet on social media, appreciating the films or its stars in person and in public.
A similar case happened with India’s biggest film ever, Baahubali. While Baahubali’s success moved so many biggest stars in India like Amitabh, Shah Rukh Khan, Rajinikanth, Chiru, Nagarjuna and many others who openly praised the film, most of our very own Tollywood stars remained silent without uttering even a word of praise about the film in open. This even led Tollywood fans to gossip if these stars are jealous of the films’ success.
With the back to blockbusters of Baahubali and Srimanthudu, entire nation started to take Tollywood more seriously, and in these crucial times of positive change, it is only healthy for our Tollywood stars to break shackles and congratulate their fellow stars’ achievements. After all, what goes around comes around, isn’t it.
