In order to maintain their relevance in Telangana region post bifurcation, sources say that the Reddy community which has dominated local politics for long is all set to be creating a voice of its own through a Telugu newspaper.
The newspaper is expected to commence operations by Ugadi in the month of March this year. Many entrepreneurs from the Reddy community are promoting this news daily and are confident that with a newspaper in their arsenal, the community can mould public opinion and once again emerge as kingmakers.
Interestingly, there are reports a TRS Reddy minister and others from the Reddy community have taken this initiative in launching a newspaper by pooling an initial investment of Rs 50 crore. The new newspaper title has reportedly been registered while a senior journalist and a journalist union leader are its editors.
With AP going under Kamma domination and TS under Velamas and Jagan’s Sakshi on downslide, T-Reddy’s have come under one roof!
