The Congress government led by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy continues to strengthen its political grip across the state. The stability of the government is now clearly reflecting in successive electoral victories.

After registering impressive wins in the Secunderabad Cantonment and Jubilee Hills Assembly by-elections, the Congress party has now delivered a commanding performance in the latest Telangana municipal polls.

As per the latest figures, a strong Congress wave is visible across the state. Out of the total 116 municipalities in Telangana, Congress has already secured control of 64 municipalities. Meanwhile, 38 municipalities have resulted in a hung situation, where the final outcome could tilt either way depending on post-poll developments.

On the other hand, BRS has managed to win just 13 municipalities — a sharp decline compared to its previous performance. This marks a significant setback for the party in the urban local body space.

In terms of ward-wise performance, Congress has established a clear lead. Out of 2,582 municipal wards, Congress won 1,347 seats, showcasing its dominance at the grassroots level. BRS secured 717 wards, which is nearly half of Congress’ tally. BJP also put up a decent fight, winning 261 wards.

While the final picture in the hung municipalities is yet to emerge, the current trends firmly place Congress ahead in the race, reinforcing Revanth Reddy’s growing political momentum in Telangana.
