The people of Telugu states have a legendary reputation when it comes to not fighting for it is considered their rights and their self respect, which most times is sacrificed in Delhi. Here is one more example of how things are with the Telugu people.
During bifurcation and even during Telangana State agitation, any word against Congress high command by either Seemandhra or Telangana politicians was considered betrayal and they were publicly chastened.
While Congress chief Sonia Gandhi mentioned that they supported Special Status for AP and she also mentioned in a letter to PM Modi that BJP should grant special status for Andhra Pradesh, senior Congress leader and MP from Karnataka, Veerappa Moily expressed his opposition to any special packages for both states yesterday in Lok Sabha.
He lamented that Karnataka would take a hit because of this, even as the MPs from AP, particularly TDP protested while other MPs from Telugu states were stunned looking at how they were silent during bifurcation but now leaders like him support only their state but don’t want Telugu states to benefit.
