Court shock to Naidu: lifts ban on capital area land registration

It’s known that AP government has stopped all the land registrations in proposed capital area of Andhra Pradesh. The government has stopped all the land registrations in about 12 mandals in Guntur and 8 mandals in Krishna districts. Going on with the state’s new capital rumors near Vijayawada and Guntur, the land costs near these areas have touched the sky within no time.
To ensure that it did not have to pay higher prices, the government has issued orders to stop registrations for time being. Now the govt faced a setback and High Court on Thursday suspended the circular issued by AP government stopping land transactions, registrations, group housing schemes and new lay-outs in Vijayawada, Guntur, Tenali and Mangalagiri corridor ( VGTM ). In response to a petition seeking suspension of the circular, the High Court gave interim orders suspending the Government decision.
The court passed orders to the Government allowing registrations of lands in the area and asked to maintain status quo. The decision of court turned shocker to Naisu’s govt who is facing troubles in land pooling. With High Court orders, real estate activity may again reach new heights in the VGTM area.
