The Coronavirus scare is the biggest concern now and all the countries have made it a priority to check on inbound flights as the first measure to put symptomatic passengers in quarantine until they result in a negative in tests.
The government of Telangana issued a quarantine mandate memo in this regard for all the passengers who land at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport from countries China, Iran, Italy, Republic of Korea, France, Germany, and Spain either through direct flights or via hubs like Dubai, Abu Dhabi or having a travel history to these seven countries after February 15, 2020, will be quarantined for 14 days, immediately after their arrival in Hyderabad.
The health medical and family welfare department of Telangana issued a procedure to be followed at the airports regarding isolating or quarantining passengers. According to the procedure,
– The passengers should be counseled on the need for quarantine.
– All the symptomatic passengers will be isolated and escorted to isolation facilities at designated hospital
– All asymptomatic passengers will be sent to the quarantine facility for a period of 14 days
– During the period of their stay at the quarantine facility, everyone should be made aware of the importance of quarantine.
– During the quarantine, if any individual develops symptoms, he/she should be immediately shifted to the designated hospital following due procedure for isolation.
