Even before Andhra Pradesh is yet to overcome the devastation caused due to Hudhud, yet another tragedy has struck the north Coastal Andhra. A firecrackers factory in Kakinada, East Godavari has caught fire. At least 13 people were dead as per the preliminary reports and 15 were severely injured.
Over 50 workers are said to be working in the factory. However, management is in deep shock and unable to reveal details. The severely injured were shifted to nearby Kakinada Government Hospital.7 out of 15 are said to be critical. District Collector and RDO have rushed to the spot. Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu, who just returned to Hyderabad from Vizag, expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families and directed authorities to fasten helping measures.
