Veteran director Dasari Narayana had once again became the center of controversy for the comments he made at a press meet in Film Chamber today. He launched a staunch attack on his opponents accusing them of tyranny. He said “I will very soon pen a book which will expose the real histories of some of the so called celebrities. I have given life to many people in the industry when they did not even have an address to their name. But now, they are criticizing me and challenging me without respect”. He even lashed out the directors of some of the Sankranthi releases too. He said, ” Creativity is dying in the current crop of directors. All they do is copy the screenplay of Basha. Some of the Sankranthi, 2013 releases also follow the same”.
While all the comments were indirected, it is clear that he is taking on Chiranjeevi and Akkineni Nageswar Rao this time. It is known that it was ANR who sent out Dasari out of Annapurna studio which was once managed by the veteran director. And the remark on ‘No Super Stars post NTR era’ was directed at Chiranjeevi. Recently, The government’s decision of not to impose VAT on movie tickets had triggered fire between Chiranjeevi and Dasari Narayana Rao with both of them are trying to take the credit of removal of VAT.
