Deepika Exits ‘Spirit’: Ajay Devgn Comments on Work Hours

The ongoing controversy between director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and actress Deepika Padukone shows no signs of cooling down. Deepika was initially set to play the female lead opposite Prabhas in Vanga’s upcoming film Spirit, but she reportedly exited the project due to concerns over working hours and other creative differences.

Recently, when actor Ajay Devgn was asked about the issue of work-life balance—one of the reasons cited for Deepika’s departure from Spirit—he commented, “It’s not that it’s not going down well with people. Most honest filmmakers will not have problems with it. And apart from this, being a mother and working for eight hours, most people have started working eight to nine-hour shifts.”

Following Deepika’s exit, Sandeep Reddy Vanga announced Triptii Dimri as the new female lead in Spirit. So far, Deepika has not publicly addressed the controversy, and fans are eagerly waiting to hear her side of the story. Whether she will respond remains uncertain, leaving the debate open-ended.
