Ever since Bollywood beauty, Deepika Padukone was roped in for Prabhas21, there have been numerous rumors in regard to her remuneration.
While a few reports say Deepika is charging Rs 30 crores for her role in the film, a few Bollywood media outlets claim she is being paid Rs 20 crores. It is being reported that Deepika Padukone is the highest paid actress in India now, thanks to her big money agreement with the makers of Prabhas21.
But the latest updates are in stark contrast with the rumors regarding Deepika’s remuneration that are in circulation.
As per a reliable source, Deepika Padukone is not taking any remuneration for Prabhas21. Instead, she signed a profit sharing agreement with the makers. Meaning, she would take a share in the profits and will not be receiving any token payment prior to the commencement of the project.We usually see star heroes working on profit sharing basis and Deepika is one of the first actresses to sign a film on the revolutionary model.
This is a favorable proposition for both Deepika and Vyjayanthi Movies, who are producing Prabhas21. As for Vyjayanthi Movies, they need not pay a hefty advance and remuneration for Deepika before the project hits the floors. Coming to Deepika, she would certainly be profited by this model as Prabhas21 is one of the most awaited films in Indian cinema and in all probability, the film will have a strong run at the box office. She can laugh her way to the bank after it releases.
