Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the sensational filmmaker behind cult hits like Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, and Animal, is gearing up for his next big project — Spirit, an action-packed thriller starring Rebel Star Prabhas. The film is being envisioned on a massive scale with a Pan-world release in mind.
Initially, Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone was considered to play the female lead in the film. However, recent reports suggest that she is no longer part of the project. According to sources close to the production, creative differences between the actress and the director may have led to this development.
Insiders reveal that Deepika had certain conditions that reportedly did not sit well with the director. These included restricted 8-hour workdays that left minimal time for actual filming, a high remuneration demand along with a share in the profits, and a reluctance to deliver dialogues in Telugu — which is crucial for a film of this scale aiming to connect with native audiences.
The differences reportedly reached a point where Sandeep Reddy Vanga decided to part ways with the actress. The team is now on the lookout for a new lead heroine to star opposite Prabhas in this highly anticipated film.
