Spirit, the highly anticipated upcoming film starring Prabhas and directed by Animal and Arjun Reddy fame Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has been making waves in the industry even before it goes on floors. While early reports hinted at Bollywood star Deepika Padukone joining the cast, recent rumors suggest she may have opted out of the project.
According to industry buzz, Deepika reportedly set certain conditions for her involvement, including a share in the film’s profits and fixed working hours. Sources claim these terms, along with differences over the director’s working style, may have led to her exit from the film.
However, there is no official word yet from either Deepika’s team or the Spirit filmmakers. The makers are now said to be scouting for a new leading lady to star opposite Prabhas.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and Pranay Reddy Vanga under the banners of T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, Spirit is one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year. Prabhas and Deepika were last seen together in Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin.
