Sankranthi Releases MSG and BMW Share Surprising Similarities

The Sankranthi releases Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu and Bharata Mahasayulaku Wignyapti, which hit screens yesterday and today respectively, have turned out to share a few surprising similarities.
One notable common factor in both films is the prominent use of Kannada. In Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, Venkatesh plays Venky Gowda, a Kannada character who speaks the language fluently, especially in his interactions with Catherine. Similarly, in Bharata Mahasayulaku Wignyapti, Tarak Ponnappa portrays a Kannada-speaking character. He plays the brother of Ashika Ranganath’s character, and their conversations in Kannada add light-hearted moments to the narrative.
Another striking similarity lies in the extensive use of classic songs as background scores. In Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, the evergreen “Sundari…” from Dalapathi is repeatedly used, while Bharata Mahasayulaku Wignyapti frequently features “Rani Ranamma…” from Maa Pallelo Gopaludu as background music.
Thus, despite releasing within a gap of just one day, both Sankranthi films share interesting and unexpected parallels that have caught the audience’s attention.
