The practice of doling out gifts, money, liquor etc. in politics is now reportedly taking a full circle. If reports are to be believed then across the state after the second phase of Panchayat polls, candidates are literally chasing the life of voters demanding them to give back whatever they given.
If a candidate in Andhra is asking voters to return back the silver items he had driven them, one candidate is reportedly fighting with the buying party to give back his land which he had sold to raise money for doling out money to voters.
This is also taking a violent turn with candidates physically attacking and in one or two instances even killing some of their trusted men and reliable voters who ditched them during voting. There are reports that in Ranga Reddy district, defeated candidates are disturbing pamphlets filled with verbal abuses for voters who have taken money but didn’t vote for them!
