It is very common phenomenon in the film industry that heroines who get busy with plenty of offers jack up their remuneration steeply.
Especially, heroines from Bollywood who tend to project themselves extremely busy in Tollywood, demand remuneration of more than Rs one crore with just one or two hits.
Many of them want to make hay while sun shines and charge a bomb in Tollywood as if there is no tomorrow.
Somehow, busy heroine Rakul Preet Singh is not able to join this one-crore-club of heroines, though she has been creating a wave in Telugu film industry of late.
She has been getting a series of offers from Mega family and has become a No. 1 choice for several heroes in Telugu film industry; but for some strange reasons, Rakul has not been able to demand higher remuneration.
Despite giving a hit in the form of “Nannaku Prematho” this year, Rakul’s remuneration has not crossed Rs 50 lakh. At present, she is charging around this figure.
So, what are the reasons for not being able to demand higher remuneration? May be, she has not given any major blockbuster hit so far. Secondly, she has not been hesitating to act alongside budding heroes. So, no producer is offering her more than half a crore.
If she has to increase her range, she has to give a super hit film. When does that happen?
