Is Devansh Naidu, son of Telugu Desam Party general secretary and Andhra Pradesh IT minister Nara Lokesh, gradually emerging as the next generation leader in the party?
This is the doubt people have been raising in the social media circles for the last three days, after watching Devansh appearing in the Republic Day celebrations at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium at Vijayawada and later in the evening at Chandranna Mundadugu, and Dalita Tejam-Telugu Desam functions at Amaravati later in the day.
Devansh was the centre of attraction at the Republic Day celebrations, which his grandfather and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu could not attend due to delay in flight returning from Davos. The entire media focus was only on Devansh, who was sitting in the lap of his grandmother Bhuvaneshwari.
After Naidu’s return, Devansh was present on the dais in the newly-built darbar hall at Naidu’s Vundavalli residence, where he along with the chief minister released the poster of the Dalita Tejam programme.
What is surprising is that the government has released an official press release on the participation of Devansh in the Republic Day celebrations and the evening function, explaining how Naidu’s grandson attracted the attention of the people with “his dignified look and grace in the face.”
It clearly shows how the ruling party is trying to project Devansh as the heir apparent of Nara family.
Well, in Telangana, too, people are watching how Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is encouraging his grandson Himanshu to take active part in the official and party functions!
