After delivering a power-packed performance as a beggar in the recent blockbuster Kuberaa, four-time National Award-winning actor Dhanush is wasting no time. Known for his swift work pace, the multifaceted actor-writer-director has already moved on to his next big project — tentatively titled D54.
The film is being helmed by Vignesh Raja, the director of the critically acclaimed and commercially successful thriller Por Thozhil. Touted to be a high-octane action entertainer, the makers describe the film with a gritty tagline: “Sometimes staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive.”
The announcement poster has already stirred intrigue — it features Dhanush standing in the middle of a cotton field engulfed in flames, head bowed, hinting at a man pushed to his breaking point. The powerful imagery sets the tone for what promises to be another intense, edge-of-the-seat thriller.
Joining Dhanush is the talented and charming Mamitha Baiju, who plays the female lead. The film also boasts a stellar ensemble cast including KS Ravi Kumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Jayaram in key roles.
Produced on a grand scale by Ishari K. Ganesh, D54 has officially commenced shooting, raising anticipation for what could be another milestone in Dhanush’s illustrious career.
