Recently, Vetri Maaran reignited discussions about the much-anticipated project, stating that he does plan to work on it soon. However, the reality seems complicated. The acclaimed director is currently busy with his next film, STR 49, featuring Simbu. Official updates about this project are expected within the next couple of weeks.
Only after completing STR 49 will Vetri Maaran move ahead with his film alongside Dhanush. While he has been assuring fans for over three years about Vada Chennai 2, the project is yet to take off.
