Of late, Dil Raju has moved on from buying the films outright and is doing distribution business on sharing. His last film that he had bought outright was Nani’s Krishnarjuna Yuddham. Even Puri’s Mehbooba was released by Dil Raju on commission basis only.
However, taking many by surprise, Dil Raju has acquired the theatrical rights of Bellamkonda Sreenivas’ Saakshyam. Apparently, Raju has a lot of confidence on director Sriwass and said to have bought the film’s Nizam rights for outright price. It is learnt that Dil Raju has closed the deal for Rs 7 Crore.
The film’s trailer which released recently indicated that the film will have perfect blend of both commercial elements as well as the five basic elements of nature who act as witness. Pooja Hegde will be seen as Sreenivas’ romantic interest.
Already, the film’s satellite rights have been closed for Rs 5.50 Crore. With Dil Raju now buying the theatrical rights of Nizam, looks like the film’s pre-release business is doing well.
