Of late, star producer Dil Raju’s enthusiastic statements during the promotional events of his movies made everyone wonder if he was pushing things a bit too much. Dil Raju’s comments made everyone feel that he is the one man army behind all his movies.Naturally, Dil Raju’s comments gave rise to several rumours that he is ghost directing his movies and that he interferes with his directors’ work a bit too much. However, it looks like Dil Raju is deeply upset with these rumours.
In a promotional interview for his upcoming production venture ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’, Dil Raju said, “I was quite hurt with those rumours about me ghost directing my films. Those are totally my directors’ movies. I only stood behind and supported them, but never interfered with their job,” said Dil Raju.Dil Raju further said that his only aim is to bring out a good film and that all the team members work towards making a good film. “A film will be good only if the relationship between its director and the producer is in harmony. I request the media to stop spreading such rumours,” Dil Raju added.
Dil Raju maintains high-quality standards not just in the making of his movies but also in promoting them. For example, Raashi Khanna has been only seen in traditional attire at all the promotional events and interviews for Srinivasa Kalyanam as she plays a traditional Telugu bride in the movie. Was it Raashi’s idea or was it Dil Raju’s suggestion?
In a similar instance, Dil Raju suggested Mumbai actress Shweta Basu Prasad to change her ultra modern dress and go on stage in a simple Telugu girl avatar at Kotha Bangaru Lokam’s audio launch event. That’s how farther he goes in terms of perfection.
