Dil Raju has been continuing his journey as a top distributor, top exhibitor and top producer for the past 20 years. He arrived as a distributor and turned into a producer who made a lot of successful films. The star producer is known for his supreme judgment skills and he says that being a producer helped him in surviving as a distributor all these years.
In a recent interview, Raju said that he distributed both ‘Spyder’ and ‘Agnyathavaasi’ back in 2017. He bought both these crazy projects for fancy rates due to the big names involved. But they turned out to be disasters and Dil Raju claims to have lost 25 crores because of these two big star hero films. He added that a lot of distributors might not have survived such a huge loss but making money throughout that year as a producer with hit films helped him in facing such a loss.
He said that ‘Baahubali 1’ was the most money he made as a distributor since it earned 42 crores in Nizam at that time and he earned a profit of 10 crores which was huge back in 2015. Dil Raju further stated that the distribution field has more flops rather than successes and it is how it works. According to Dil Raju, distribution gives him a lot of ‘kick’ despite the risk involved. He claimed that they are enjoying ‘Dasara’ success as a distributor right now but it doesn’t mean that success is guaranteed in 2023 as the rest of their films might fail.
‘Game Changer’ is going to be his maiden pan-Indian venture. Ram Charan is the hero while Shankar is the director of this flick. Dil Raju has already produced a movie in Hindi. Along with that, he is producing another few interesting movies as well.
