Producer and distributor Dil Raju was apparently regretting for ‘missing’ Chalo. Although initially the proposal of Chalo came to Raju, he couldn’t take a call on it. This eventually went into the hands of Raju’s competitor Asian Cinemas’ Suneel. And the film subsequently became one of the big hits of the year.
Dil Raju is apparently feeling bad that he ‘missed out’ Chalo and he should had bought the film. Apparently, Raju expressed ‘shock’ to his close aides over the Chalo’s success.
By the end of two weeks, the film’s producers announced earning a gross of 23.31 Crore. While the film’s theatrical rights were sold only for meagre Rs 6 Crore, the film is declared as a blockbuster at the Box Office.
In addition to it, the film fetched satellite rights of 2.5 Crore before the film’s release. Including audio and all other, the film did make a fancy moolah to Shaurya’s parents who ventured into production.
There is nothing wrong in Dil Raju feeling ‘missed out’ on such an opportunity.
