Star producer Dil Raju, known for his calculated approach and successful track record in Telugu cinema, has always managed to balance big stars and tight budgets with impressive results. While his recent film Game Changer may not have gone as expected, the seasoned producer shows no signs of slowing down.
In a recent media interaction, Dil Raju hinted at an exciting future collaboration with pan-India star Allu Arjun. He teased the possibility of a project titled Raavanam, although he didn’t disclose details about the director or the script. However, his enthusiasm was unmistakable as he expressed strong interest in working with Allu Arjun once again, especially after the actor’s phenomenal rise post-Pushpa. Given Allu Arjun’s current stardom, Raju acknowledged that it would take a highly committed team and strong vision to bring such a high-scale project to life.
Shifting focus to his immediate release, Tammudu, slated to hit screens in July, Dil Raju shared interesting insights about the film’s making. He praised hero Nithiin and director Sriram Venu for their dedication, revealing that both of them chose not to take any advance remuneration for the film. He emphasized that the entire team worked with the sole aim of delivering high-quality content, and that spirit has reflected in the final output.
Dil Raju also touched upon the evolving economics of the film industry. He noted that the landscape of non-theatrical revenue — including OTT and satellite rights — has undergone a permanent shift. In this new era, he stressed the importance of collaboration among producers, directors, and actors in terms of budget planning and risk-sharing, especially while making big-budget films.
With Tammudu on the horizon and a potential pan-India project like Raavanam in the pipeline, Dil Raju continues to position himself as a key player in shaping the future of Telugu cinema.
