Despite being a leading producer with several big budget films with top stars in his repertoire, Dil Raju joined hands with director Maruthi to produce a low budget youthful entertainer titled Rojulu Marayi. After a huge round of promotions, the film is releasing tomorrow.
During his recent interview as part of the film’s promotions, Maruthi, who provided the story for Rojulu Marayi, revealed how Dil Raju turned editor for Rojulu Marayi. Maruthi said that Dil Raju saw the final copy of Rojulu Marayi recently and felt that it was too long.Dil Raju, being a shrewd producer that he is, felt that 2 hour 25 minutes will be too risky for its box-office chances since it stars young cast and suggested Maruthi and the film’s team to remove 15 minutes from the film’s second half.
Maruthi said that Dil Raju’s suggestion to edit out unnecessary scenes has drastically improved the film’s pace in the second half. These are the times when even top star films are being edited right after the first day screenings. Let’s see how well Rojulu Marayi score tomorrow.
