Director confirmed for Akhil’s debut!

Akkineni Akhil, younger son of Nagarjuna is all set to make his debut as hero next year. Akhil, who acted in Sisindri was not seen in films after that. He showed interest in cricket and tried to pursue a career as cricketer. But recently he gave up his passion on cricket and decided to become an actor. From then on he has been undergoing training. Now he is all grown up and ready to face the cameras.

Nagarjuna is planning for a grand launch as he doesn’t want Akhil’s debut to misfire like Naga Chaitanya’s debut vehicle Josh. Chaitanya’s first film was directed by a debutante director Vasu Varma and his inexperience cost the Akkinenis dearly as Chaitanya failed to impress with first film. He is still struggling to find the stardom due to the bad start he had. Hence Nagarjuna wanted an experienced director to launch Akhil as hero.

After having talks with many directors and considering many names, Nagarjuna has decided that Srinu Vytla is a safe bet director to launch Akhil. Srinu Vytla has good relations with Nagarjuna. He made King movie with him. If the buzz is to be believed Vytla will direct Akhil’s first film. Will Nagarjuna produce it on his own banner or handover this project to some other producer has to be seen. Right now Vytla is busy with Aagadu starring Mahesh Babu.
