Actress and filmmaker Renu Desai, former wife of actor-politician Pawan Kalyan, has strongly condemned the vulgar and demeaning comments being posted against her on social media. In an emotional and firmly worded video message, she expressed outrage over the increasing online harassment and warned of serious consequences for those crossing the line.

Responding to obscene messages like, “What is your rate for a night?”, Renu said she was deeply disturbed by the degrading mindset behind such remarks. She revealed that she was in Kashi at the time, dressed in traditional devi robes and fully covered, when she received such messages. Questioning the audacity of the trolls, she asked how anyone could stoop to such a level and make disgusting comments about a woman dressed respectfully.

Calling out the mentality of such individuals, Renu stated that some people who struggle in their own lives are shamelessly targeting others online. “This is not right. Stop this nonsense immediately,” she warned. She clarified that she is a normal citizen and emphasized that working in films does not give anyone the right to insult her. “Just because you own a phone does not mean you have unlimited freedom to abuse someone,” she said.

The actress further revealed that she plans to approach the police and file a formal complaint to address the growing issue of online harassment. She also issued a stern warning to offenders, saying she would not hesitate to reach out to their families and question whether this is how they were raised.

“I am not an MLA or a government employee. I have no connection to you. Yet people spread hate without any reason,” she remarked, adding that many individuals on social media appear frustrated, unhappy, and depressed, which fuels such toxic behavior.

Renu concluded by stressing that no one has the right to post vulgar comments and urged her friends and fellow women to take legal action against online abuse to put an end to this disturbing trend.
