Is DJ Movie Team Overacting on its Business ?

Tamil star Karthi is gearing up for the release of his next film Vaa Vaathiyaar, directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Nalan Kumarasamy. Produced by KE Gnanavelraja under the Studio Green banner, the film is set to hit theatres in December 2025, with a simultaneous Telugu release titled Annagaru Vostaru.

The makers unveiled the trailer today, and it immediately captures attention. It establishes Karthi’s character as a devoted admirer of the legendary actor and former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao garu, a passion he inherits from his father, played by Rajkiran, who is known for celebrating NTR’s films in theatres.

As the story progresses, the son grows up to become a police officer—one whose unconventional ways of handling crime repeatedly land him in trouble. Meanwhile, Sathyaraj and a group of politicians appear to be plotting a major conspiracy that sparks public unrest.

Although the trailer keeps the plot under wraps, Vaa Vaathiyaar promises an offbeat blend of dark comedy and quirky entertainment. The sharp trailer cut, powered by Santhosh Narayanan’s energetic score, raises expectations for what seems to be a wild and engaging ride.

Krithi Shetty plays the female lead, with Shilpa Manjunath, Rajkiran, Anand Raj, and Sathyaraj in key roles. The supporting cast includes Karunakaran, GM Sundar, Ramesh Thilak, PL Thenappan, Vidhya Borgia, Nivas Adthitan, and Madhur Mittal.
