YS Sharmila, the daughter of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy and the sister of current AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, launched a party in Telangana, the YSRTP, and has been trying to make her mark in Telangana politics ever since then. Despite her efforts, Sharmila has not been able to make any impact at all.
Sharmila recently sent a truckload of damaged crop to Telangana Chief Minister KCR, following the unseasonal rains in Telangana, which damaged acres of crops in the state. Sharmila said that this is to remind KCR and the members of the TRS, who seem to be only concerned with the new Telangana secretariat than the losses incurred by the farmers of the state.
She criticized how the TRS is not even bothered to assess the damage that has occurred, and said that KCR’s Raithu Bharosa program is nothing but a sham. While Sharmila has a point to make, it is to be seen whether this point will make any impact, or if it will turn out to be another impactless move.
