The people who wish to visit the temple town in the next few days have to alter their plans to avoid facing a lot of problems.
Tirupati Joint Action Committee (JAC) which is operating the Samaikyandhra movement in Tirupati has decided to completely seal all the borders of the town for about 48 hours, protesting the division of state. As part of this move, all the roads leading to Tirupati will be blocked on August 28th and 29th.
The JAC leaders, however, informed no inconvenience would be caused to pilgrims who wish to visit Tirumala from Tirupati. They clarified that no vehicles will be allowed to either to enter or exit the Tirupati. Along with all the private vehicles, Government vehicles too willn’t be allowed to run during this period. Educational institutions, government and private offices, business and commercial establishments, hotels and restaurants will shut down.
JAC leaders opined such intense agitations would mount pressure on the Centre and make it hold back its July 30th announcement.
