“I Support Traffic Police” is the new initiative launched by Hyderabad traffic police seeking support from bike and car users on the roads to help them create better traffic environment. The other day Hyderabad Traffic Police have conducted a quick drunk-and-drive check up at Road No. 45, Jubilee Hills, at the lane that cuts into main road from Peddamma temple. Guess who are stopped for a check up.
After wrapping up an awards function, actress-producer Lakshmi Manchu and veteran heroine Jayaprada have started in their cars, of course, they are in driver’s seat. After giving breathe analyser test, Lakshmi spoke to media and requested everyone to not drink and drive. “At our homes, no doubt our loved ones will be waiting for us. If something happens to us, no doubt they couldn’t bear the loss. Don’t drink and drive”, said Lakshmi Manchu.
At the same time, many car and bike riders tried to escape the check, but police have blocked almost all the roads that are branching out from that point, so there is question of any such thing. Irrespective of the dramas put by certain drunk drivers, police have caught and seized 8 bikes and 6 cars.
