Dulquer Salmaan’s Smart Choices Avoid Big Flops

Sometimes in the film industry, turning down a project can become a blessing in disguise. While some actors regret missing out on blockbusters, others end up making smart decisions that work in their favor. Actor Dulquer Salmaan clearly belongs to the latter category.

Dulquer recently made headlines for steering clear of two high-profile films — Indian 3 and Thug Life — both of which have unfortunately turned out to be major disappointments. Instead, he focused on Lucky Baskhar, a film that is now being hailed as one of the finest in his career.

Reports suggest that Dulquer was initially approached to play a role in Kamal Haasan’s Indian 3, but he politely declined. In hindsight, the decision seems spot on, as Indian 3 went on to become one of the biggest flops in Indian cinema.

He was also roped in for Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life, and his name was even officially announced. However, Dulquer later opted out of the project, and actor Simbu stepped in as his replacement. Thug Life too has failed to impress audiences and is currently struggling at the box office.

In contrast, Lucky Baskhar has received critical acclaim and commercial success, reaffirming Dulquer’s script sense and timing. With two potential missteps avoided and a strong performance delivered, many now see Dulquer’s decisions as strategic and fortunate.

Currently, Dulquer is busy with his upcoming films Kaantha and Aakasham Lo Oka Tara, both of which are generating good buzz among fans and film circles alike.
