Deva Katta, the director who is known for his intensely dramatic scripts and thought provoking punchlines, is once again back in his elements with his latest short film, Dying To Be Me.

For this short film, Deva joined hands with pop singer Smita, who played the protagonist’s role quite like a seasoned actress.

Made and released as an Independence Day offering, the 2-minute short film tells a whole lot of things like male chauvinism, economic independence for females and following one’s own will. Apart from this well made film, the makers even presented a few alarming facts about the present situation of females in India.
