Mahavatar Narasimha, which started off as a small release, has now turned into a massive box office success, surprising everyone with its phenomenal collections. Released on July 25, the film has been running strong for over a month, withstanding competition from several big-ticket films and has already crossed the ₹300 crore mark.

Despite facing stiff competition from big-star releases like Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Kingdom, War 2, and Coolie, this animated spectacle emerged as the true winner at the box office. While some films managed decent collections, none could match the consistency and dominance of Mahavatar Narasimha.

What makes this achievement even more remarkable is the fact that the movie was made on a modest budget of just ₹25 crores, including promotions. Yet, it has outperformed star-studded and high-budget ventures, leaving trade analysts stunned. The film not only captured the Telugu audience but also received an equally strong response in Hindi, grossing over ₹50 crores in that market alone.

With extraordinary word-of-mouth, the film continues to draw strong occupancy even in its fifth week, while many other films released around the same time have already vanished from theatres. It has now earned the distinction of becoming the highest-grossing animated film in India.

OTT and television deals are yet to be finalized, but with the theatrical run already creating waves, the makers are assured of massive profits. Clearly, Mahavatar Narasimha has redefined box office dynamics, proving that content-driven animated films can also conquer the Indian market in a big way.
