Elon Musk Apologizes to Trump After Fallout

After a much-publicized fallout, Tesla CEO and tech billionaire Elon Musk is seemingly reconciling with former US President Donald Trump. In a surprising turn of events, Musk issued a public apology on X, acknowledging that some of his earlier remarks aimed at Trump may have crossed the line. Following the apology, Musk’s fortune saw a modest rise, increasing by $191 million to reach $411.4 billion.

Musk admitted on X, “I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far.” According to reports, before posting the public apology, Musk personally reached out to Trump over a phone call to convey his regret.

Confirming the development, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated that Trump received Musk’s message and appreciated the gesture. Speaking to the New York Post, Trump said, “I thought it was very nice that he did that.”

The tension between the two began when Musk openly criticized one of Trump’s major economic legislations, referring to it as “The Big Ugly Bill,” in sharp contrast to Trump’s own label of “The Big, Beautiful Bill.” Prior to these critical remarks, Musk had already resigned from his position at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which added further strain to their relationship.

Now, with Musk’s apology and Trump’s acceptance, it appears that the two high-profile figures are working towards mending their differences.
