Puri Jagannath was once considered dashing director with his success streak and daring attempts. But he lost his midas touch from few years and has been churning out underrated movies. But Puri showed some promise with NTR’s Temper.
Temper gained confidence in buyers such that they invested huge in Loafer which has young mega hero Varun Tej in lead. The movie has covered business of over 19 covers including publicity and prints. Movie promoted as an emotional output from Puri Jagannath.
Puri even stated that Loafer is “Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi” kind of film in years. But the film failed miserably at box office and collected a share of just 11.65 crores and gross of about 20 crores. With this it can be easily understood that distributors recovered upto just 60 % which major areas like Nizam left distributor in huge losses.
