The sensational pre-release piracy of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s then industry hit Atharintiki Dharedi sent shock waves across Tollywood in 2013. Now, a film is being made in the backdrop of Atharintiki Dharedi’s piracy and the consequences before and after the film’s release.
Titled Yerupu, this interesting film is being directed by Venkat Krishna and produced by Anand Ranga, the director who made an unsuccessful debut with Siddharth and Shamili’s Oye. This evening, star Hyderabadi cricketer VVS Laxman and actor Siddharth released the teaser of Yerupu on Twitter.
Going by the film’s teaser, Yerupu is a crime comedy thriller and it explores how the culprits pirated the film and the motifs behind them stealing the film even before it’s release. The teaser ends with the footage of Pawan Kalyan warning the pirates during Atharintiki Dharedi’s thank you meet. Let’s wait to witness the ripples the film is going to create after its release.
