However, the seven exit polls stated that Congress is going to lose Gujarat. The aggregate of the exit polls say that 111 of Gujarat’s 182 seats will be bagged by BJP. However, this is five less than what the party scored in the 2012 polls. However, most of the exit polls predicted that over 100 seats for the BJP in Gujarat, comfortably above the 92-seat majority mark in the 182-seat Assembly.

Himachal Pradesh

All the seven exit polls predicted that Congress is going to suffer huge defeat in Himachal Pradesh. It is projected that the BJP is likely to win more than 50 seats, which is way above the majority mark of 35 in the 68-seat Assembly.

The result of Gujarat is likely to make its impact in the upcoming elections in the other states as well including Karnataka in South and the next 2019 general elections for Lok Sabha.
