A small video of an intense altercation between fellow audiences and a Muslim family at a posh multiplex in which the family was stormed out of the multiplex premises has been going viral on social media since yesterday. As per the reports of national media houses, the incident took place when a Muslim family refused to stand for the national anthem which is played before the beginning of a film’s screening.
Upset with the family’s contempt towards respecting the national anthem, fellow moviegoers and the multiplex staff objected to their behavior and asked them to leave the multiplex. The video shows the Muslim family trying to defend its actions to the unhappy crowd.
However, the family was made to exit the multiplex in the end much to a welcome applause from the rest of the people. Even though the origin of the video is unknown, many say that the incident took place at an upscale multiplex in Mumbai, while others argue that it was shot in Bengaluru.
