A dynamic lady IPS officer from Kerala’s capital city Trivandrum is under intense heat from media and even her department people. Recently, the Trivandrum’s Assistant Commissioner Merin Joseph has posted a photograph with the current heartthrob of Malayalam film industry Nivin Pauly, on her social networking page.
Soon, Merin’s post invited huge public attention and several of her followers liked and shared the photo. This led to a severe outrage from a section of media, which complained that the IPS officer has dishonored the protocol by posing with film stars in police uniform while on official duty and even publishing the image on Facebook.
To this, the IPS gave a fitting reply as she said that he attended the event as one of the guests and that she was not on official duty at that time. Merin also said that she posed for the photograph only after the state’s Home Minister left from the event. The IPS officer also gave some piece of advice to the media and suggested it to give importance to other burning issues and to petty issues.
