The Telugu and Kannada film industries are witnessing schedule shifts as two highly anticipated films, Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit and Yash’s Toxic, have reportedly been postponed. While no official announcement has been made yet, industry sources confirm that neither movie will release in March as initially planned.
Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit, which has faced multiple delays before, will now miss its March 19 slot. Sources say the makers decided to avoid a clash with the pan-India release of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, especially in the Hindi market, which could have affected box office performance. Similarly, Kannada superstar Yash’s Toxic was initially scheduled for March 19, with the makers confident that it could hold its ground against the Dhurandhar sequel. However, following the overwhelming success of Dhurandhar both at the box office and on Netflix, distributors advised that Toxic might struggle to secure sufficient screens in North America and South Indian regions.
