The Delhi Police has arrested film director Sanoj Kumar Mishra following allegations of rape and coercion by a 28-year-old aspiring actress.

According to the victim’s complaint, she first connected with Mishra in 2020 through social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Over time, Mishra allegedly manipulated her into meeting him by threatening self-harm. On June 18, 2021, he reportedly took her to a resort, where he drugged and sexually assaulted her. The victim further claimed that Mishra captured compromising photos and videos, using them to blackmail her into a relationship.

Under the false promise of marriage and film opportunities, Mishra allegedly coerced her into a live-in relationship in Mumbai, where he reportedly subjected her to repeated physical abuse. She also alleged that she was forced into three abortions. In February 2025, Mishra is said to have abandoned her, later threatening to leak her private content if she reported him.

Following her complaint, an FIR was registered under multiple charges, including rape, assault, and criminal intimidation. Medical records from Muzaffarnagar confirmed the forced abortions. The Delhi High Court rejected his anticipatory bail plea, leading to his arrest.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.
